Terms and Conditions
Payments
Payment for the full boarding term is required at latest upon collection of the pet. The Pet Owner agrees to pay the rate in effect on the date pet is checked out of the boarding kennels.
Arrivals & Departures
Pets will only be released to the primary owner, secondary owner or emergency contact unless otherwise stated by the primary owner in writing.
Collection and drop-off will be agreed upon in advance. Late collection or drop-off after a ten-minute window will incur a 10% extra charge (per day rate) per additional half hour (or part thereof).
Early collection or drop-off may result in there being no space available for your pet, or their enclosure not being ready, or there not being anyone to let you in to collect/drop-off your pet. Please come no more than ten minutes early.
There is no refund, discount or credit for early returns.
Vaccinations
You must provide proof that your pet’s vaccinations are up-to-date. No animal will be accepted unless these vaccinations are up-to-date.
We recommend that all dogs and cats are dewormed before and after their stay in the kennels. This is based on the latest veterinary advice that all dogs and cats be dewormed prior and after visiting a boarding kennels as a precautionary measure. As we have no way to ensure owners do this, we can provide no guarantee that it has been done and accept no liability if an pet is affected by another during their stay.
Food & Medication
The pet’s own food must be supplied. An extra charge of €5 per day will be added if the boarding kennel is to provide food from their own stock.
If your pet’s food runs out throughout their stay we will contact you to discuss what to feed your pet as an alternative. If the boarding kennel is to provide the food, an extra charge of €5 per day will be added.
Medications must be in their original, labelled container with vet sticker attached or it will NOT be administrated.
All medication must be discussed with Gleann na Madraí in advance of their stay.
Additional Charges and Veterinary Care
If your pet becomes ill or if the state of the animal’s health requires professional attention, Gleann na Madraí, in its sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian, administer medicine or give other requisite attention to the animal, and the expenses thereof shall be paid by the owner.
Gleann na Madraí will make a reasonable attempt to contact the owner prior to engaging such services when possible. The pet owner further agrees to pay all costs and charges for special services such as additional food and any emergency veterinary costs for their pet during the time said pet is in the care of Gleann na Madraí.
The pet owner agrees to give permission to Gleann na Madraí to allow personal information regarding owner and pet to be given to or received from a duly licensed veterinarian. Gleann na Madraí cannot be held responsible for injury, illness or sudden death arising during your pet’s time at Gleann na Madraí
Doggie Daycare
The pet owner acknowledges that their dog may be mixing with other dogs unless otherwise stated and that playing with other dogs can sometimes result in wounds, loss of hair, death etc.
Dogs may become dirty during play.
When you return home
Pets may go home more tired than normal due to an increase in exercise or the change in routine received in our care. Pets may be out of their daily routine when they return home.
Booking and Delivery of your pet to Gleann na Madraí facilities constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions as written.
